My name is Marit and I live in Switzerland. I have German roots but also spent substancial time in Norway and the US. And while German is my mother tongue, the English language is deeply embedded both in my personal and professional life – which is why the content here is written in English.
I am a classical introvert, loving to spend time outdoors and contemplating the wonders of our world. Paired with intense curiousity though. Continuously exploring my environment both close and far became my second nature – on foot, on snowshoes or in my campervan. It is more the Northern Hemisphere and colder climates that intrigue me. But I am always on the lookout for opportunities to broaden my horizon and explore beyond the things known to me today. I also have a deep-rooted passion for photography, reaching all the way back to my teenage years. In 2011 I got my first digital SLR camera and actively practice photography since.
The combination of the above results in a diverse and ever growing portfolio of pictures. Their commonality: more often than not the focus is on the less obvious viewpoints and unseen perspectives. In case you would like to read more about the overarching concept and purpose, please check out the ‘What is this about?’ page above.
